Folder types

Several types of IBM® Lotus® Quickr folders are available as described in the following table:

How to use

Simple list

Lists the titles of all the items in the folder.

To display an item's contents in a Simple List folder, click the title in the list of titles. You can add a graphic image to the top of the list.

Discussion

Lists the titles of all the items in the folder and allows readers to create new content in response to existing content.

Readers can choose to hide or display the responses in the list. You can add a graphic image to the top of the lists.

To display the contents of a Discussion folder, click the page title in the list of titles. The list includes both topics and responses. Discussion titles are indented under the topic titles they are connected to.

To display a list of the topics only in a Discussion folder, click Hide Responses.

To display both the topics and the responses to those topics, click Show Responses.

To create a response, the reader displays the page he or she is responding to and then clicks Respond.

Ordered list

Lists the titles of all the items in the folder. An ordered list folder can contain up to 60 items.

Managers can change the order of the items in the list in order to move important pages higher. You can add a graphic image to the top of the list.

To display the contents of an item in an Ordered List folder, click the title in the list of titles.

Slideshow folder

Shows one item at a time. A Slideshow folder can contain up to 30 items.

Readers move from one item to another by clicking arrows at the bottom of the screen. Managers can change the order of items in the slide show, in order to move an important item to the beginning of the folder.

To display the contents of an item in a Slide Show folder, click next or previous until the item you want moves into view.

Headline folder

Can contain up to five items. The titles appear in a row near the top of the screen, like "tabs" on typical Web sites.

Managers can change the order of the items in the list in order to move important items to the front of the list.

To display the contents of a item in a Headline folder, click the title at the top of the screen.
